Chain skills for GW?
If you haven't been following GW2, warriors are given a chain skill, sever-gash-final thrust. It works by having one skill in the slot and after you use the first one, it changes to the second and third one unless you do something to reset the chain.
So would you think something like this would be good for GW?

and no. If you can't stop the attack chain, then it's far too easy to block it.

It's certainly innotive and would get use for a lot more skills (especially in swordsmanship which is weaksauce). Not sure how exactly it could be implemented though, without beign subject to rigorous nerfs/buffs/whatever.

Chain resets to the first skill when you switch targets.
To OP: no, I don't think this would work in GW. Even discounting the obvious "they have no time for this" argument, it'd simply break balance to basically give warriors two free slots.

lol, it would be cool, but i have a feeling that it is too late in the game to implement such a thing. and yeah, it would give warriors too much of an advantaged because they would effectively be carrying more than 8 skills while everyone else remains at 8 skills.

No. The number of skills on the bar is a core mechanic. Modifying them requires a new game format.

There is a reason they put the 2 in the title. It is a new game, not the same. Sure, having more skills available would be fun, but it would also be over powered. New game means new mechanics, so wait for the new game to make use of the new mechanics.

It works the same way sin skills work as after each skill you use it unlocks a new one to use.
Aion uses skill chains already.

With the minor difference it uses only 1 skillslot, instead of the 3 as in GW1
I'm not interested in any new mechanic that goes against 5 year of 8 skillslots in my GW. Save it for GW2.

Chains are okay for GW2 because it's not GW. Adding this kind of functionality to warriors now would probably be a big change from today's warriors, and likely an unnecessary one at that.

So is it 1 slot as in playing like a beat-em-up? Those are fun...
